The Knighton Festival of Books, Art and Music celebrates its fifth anniversary from 20-22 October 2023.
The festival’s “Flicks In The Sticks” opening evening event is a screening of Foxtrot’s multi-award-winning Margy Kinmonth film Eric Ravilious – Drawn To War on Friday 20 October at 7.30pm.

From 1931 to 1935 Eric Ravilious lived with his artist wife Tirzah Garwood on the River Thames at Hammersmith, West London. On 11 October 2023 nearby St. Paul’s Girls School celebrated Ravilious with a special event screening of Foxtrot’s film Eric Raviliious – Drawn To War + Q&A with Director/Producer Margy Kinmonth and SPGS Head of History of Art Kate Evans.
As part of Creative Newhaven, Hillcrest Cinema screened Foxtrot’s Margy Kinmonth film Eric Ravilious – Drawn To War on 23 September 2023 + Director Q&A hosted by Towner Eastbourne Head of Collections Sara Cooper.
The “Following Ravilious” Newhaven Art Trail continues until end October 2023.

Foxtrot Films was delighted to accept an invitation to present Margy Kinmonth’s film Eric Ravilious – Drawn To War at 6 Burlington Gardens, London. The special private screening for R.A. Members and Patrons was followed by a Q&A hosted by the R.A.’s Director of Collections and Learning Rebecca Lyons, with director Margy Kinmonth and Anne Desmet R.A. Other Royal Academicians featuring in the film are Sir Grayson Perry and Ai Weiwei.
